WWYD: Horrific treatment at NAIA on ticket sold by AC

So, my first time flying PAL, I get caught up in this on Aug 18 (PR336):
Chaos at airport terminal | Daily Tribune

On a business class ticket booked YYZ > NRT > MNL, MNL > PVG > YYZ unfortunately the only leg booked in economy was
MNL >.PVG and it was an absolute horror show.

The real issue is the flight that went off the runway and started this mess happened on Thurs. and officials had enough time to cancel and delay flights. Till the time I took off at 14:20 the website and terminal boards showed on time. Zero communication.

Additionally, I saw some things from the flight staff that made me seriously question their competence.

Now, I'm going to ensure I'm J all the way and will never fly PAL again, but given the quote from the Phillipines Senator:

“The public deserves an acceptable explanation. This is important, considering that NAIA remains the primary gateway for foreign tourists into the country. Note, also, that NAIA is operating at overcapacity. It was built to handle some 30 million passengers, but is currently accommodating around 42 million,” Poe said.

She said this was not the first time a passenger plane got stalled or skidded off the runway, and would not be the last.

I'm wondering if any of you have similar kind of challenging business travel and how you manage it.
