I have flown First on their old 747 combi and Business on A380. For me, if the different is only 17,500 point/person, I will go for First. Start for the lounge, First lounge is less crowd, they serve Moet champagne and no line for shower room. Business lounge is good but can't compare with First lounge. Also, for First class passenger, when boarding time, staff will come to you and escort to the gate. On board,for food, my opinion is not much different except more variety for dish and better liquor for First. Is there a reference on what the food differences actually are beyond the caviar round? Alcohol menus? Does the soft product feel any different? About to do my first A380 on OZ and I noticed there's a "Bar" upstairs, so it seems like J has closer access to "hang out" than F does... At least EK puts F and J on the same floor, but bar still at the rear so it's a bit of a walk.
