no, I don’t think that that is the case at all. The TA is correctly identifying that what were SPG properties are now Marriott properties. They are then correctly applying my MR number instead of my old SPG number. It seems to me that if it’s not showing up, it’s because Marriott is not allowing a legacy MR number to be applied (and interestingly enough, the reservation is being held on the old SPG site, not on Marriott.com).
Whether or not the frontend recognizes the property as within the Marriott chain and allows you to select your Marriott Rewards # for the reservation has nothing to do with your corporate TA or that your corporate TA's CRS has been appropriately updated to communicate with the GDS of their choice properly to get the reservation to Marriott.
