I am actually from the Cape, though since I haven't been back in 10 years, I'm not up to speed on current good restaurants. Fall is actually my favorite season there; after the tourists clear out, it is very easy to get around, even to Ptown. I would stay in Hyannis myself because it has the most going on, but my mom prefers to be a little further out (e.g. Dennis).
