Might be leaning towards downtown.

i also just looked at breakfast menu. Seems like Boston downtown has a “better” menu; assuming you can order off menu as a Glob. Their suite can accommodate 4 with a sofa pull out.

There used to be a pool at the Boston Harbor location but they got rid of it. I don't imagine it was used much so they probably converted it to event space.

It obviously depends on the age of your children, but at the downtown Boston location the premier king and junior suite rooms have a (relatively small-sized) "queen-sized sofa sleeper."

At least on the higher floors, the xx37 and xx39 rooms appear to be considered corner (premium?) rooms. The xx39 room I would consider as a real corner room (it is essentially a big triangle with the bathroom in the hallway). The xx39 has more space than a regular room but is much tighter.

I haven't personally tried anything other than the buffet, and have never looked at the menu, but the breakfast staff at the downtown location are great.

To add, if you have children, there isn't a room service menu for kids in the room but you can get one at the restaurant downstairs. The $8.95 steak, chicken, fish of the day with potatoes, vegetables and a side salad I would consider an adult sized meal.
