Lost Parking Stub--Why Do They Need Your Car's License #?
This is really trivial, I know, but I was wondering, and figured someone out there might have an answer...
I parked over the weekend at the St. Louis airport and upon returning Sunday night, I could not find the parking stub I got from the machine when I drove in. The lady was really nice about it, and with 3 lanes open, I wasn't holding up traffic. Well, she took my drivers license and went around to record my car's license plate number as well, while I kept searching for the blankety-blank stub. I did manage to find it and saved a few $$ in fees thereby. Paid up and left, end of story.
She was nice as could be through it all, it's just that I keep wondering...I can see them wanting verification of one's identity, but why would they have needed the car's license plate number?
I'm just curious, is all. Any ideas?
