It took me awhile, but I put up some more pictures from my stay at the Konsulat (and at the Canopy), as well as a description of the highs and lows. Hotel Reviews: Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre and Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel (Curio Collection) ? You Went Where??? For me, the Konsulat didn't seem worth spending more money or points than the Canopy-- though I know now sometimes they are the same price.
Also, warning for both properties, I had to fight with Hilton to get my 1,000 points MyWay benefit and stay credit on an award stay.
