How did you book the flights? When I go to their website there is no infant option and its clear you have to call them to book and that infants aren't allowed in business on the A350. I think your leverage depends on the circumstances around how the tickets were booked (for example, you have more leverage of their call centre booked it in contravention of their policy versus if you booked online and just ticked the child box).
