Hey Everyone!
My family was lucky enough to grab some of those insane $600RT tickets from LAX to BKK with LAX to HKG portion on their A350. I booked business class for myself, my wife, and my 2 month old infant son. I had the choice of lap or seat, and opted to pay $1 more for his own seat. We are ticketed and confirmed. Here is where things get complicated. I wanted to see what the bassinet situation was like on Hong Kong Airlines, and found
this very concerning policy which states:
1)infants are not allowed on a350 business class cabin
2)infants with certain child seats can ride in a350 business class cabin??
3)no airline provided basinet for a350
the airline did sell me a business class seat for my 2 month old son. The last thing I want to do is cancel these tickets. Any help or advice is soooooo appreciated.
i recall one time hearing about some airlines that dont allow infants in premium cabin for takeoff/landing. could this be the case? what do you think will happen when show up to the airport in just a few short days?
last idea i have is to buy a coach ticket and offer it to a friend. worst case perhaps the baby can stay with them and we all take turns... im desperate people. any ideas however crazy throw them out there.
thanks to the wonderful flyertalk community!
