Small update. Just got into another 2018 430i hardtop convertible - RWD/not the xdrive. Be aware of trunk space - a significant portion of the trunk is unusable if you want to fold the hard top down. The car is fairly heavy, and at the hp it's at it's more of a luxury cruiser than a real corner carving machine.

Steering wheel control for the music track for forward/backward is a bit cheap and un-gainly to use. It's a rubber scroll wheel that you then press for either next track or back. There are physical buttons for those controls as well on the center dash which is a welcome sight in this world of everything going to touch screen.

Not hugely impressed with the leather in the seat or around the cabin...seems like it doesn't take well to wear...which again may be understandable as it is a rental car in Hawaii and with probably lot of sweaty skin along with salt water/sand/sunscreen getting everywhere.

2 small issues with my current vehicle: the driver's seatbelt buckle is backwards, I'll have to flip it around when I get a chance. Also the buttons near the iDrive wheel is a bit sticky (seems to be common issues with BMWs after looking at forums....usually after ppl have spilled some drinks...again, not too surprising for a rental car).
