We had an excellent 8 days statys at Hilton Malta. From check-in to check-out was nothing but 5 star. We go a room at the 7th floor facing the Mediterranean Sea right int he middle of the center building so the location was excellent, we were also given Exec lounge access.
The pool areas where for sure family friendly, how ever we preferred the Merkanti Beach Club area due to a bit more "mature" family presence = no babies or toddler, school age an upwards with suited our 7 and 12 year old sons (and parents as well since it was a bit more relaxed and tranquil ambiance, don't get me wrong I have no problem at all regarding families with small children since we're recently where there one self's but still I don't mind the option not to). The pool areas are well suited and the access to Mediterranean Sea is also suitable for children, as long as they can swim.

We ate a few nights at the hotels buffet, well suitable for family dinner and excellent attention to our requirements regarding food allergies for me and the youngest one, this also applies to the breakfast service. The chefs recognized us and where friendly and professional towards us. The Exec lounge staff, 5 star as well, professional but still friendly, I always like when they point of that one was missed at the afternoon tea/ evening cocktail for a few days on return.
Gluten free was never an issue during afternoon tea/ evening cocktail.

The room and bathroom was as expected, well stocked with toiletries for a family of four. Bathrobe and slippers for four as well (by some reasons we almost all the time get three sets of bathrobe and slippers on our previous Hilton/Double Tree stays in the past). Housekeeping, spotless.

We used eCabs for our transportation needs.

For sure this hotel will be on of the option for next summer.
