BDL-PEK P fares were less than 50% of EWR-PEK, hence my booking several for the year.
I managed to change (without incurring change fees) one such BDL-SFO-PEK flight to BDL-EWR-PEK by calling in, but for this one I figured I'd give it a try, as I am not in a desperate hurry to get to PEK, and can afford a day late arrival.
Seems odd that UA would allow and promote such tight connections. Is there no one at UA monitoring their success-rate and what costs are associated with so many missed connections?
Unless, of course, it doesn't actually cost them anything overall.
