Hi All!

Not often that being a Silver-status gets me anywhere but at the bottom of a long list of Upgrades - but the flying gods smiled on me on Wednesday. I was flying MEL - LAX - YVR on United and the economy class (where I was waaaaay back - not even the slightest possibility of an upgrade to Economy Plus) was oversold. I was happy to just have an aisle seat! Five minutes before boarding my name was called over the intercom and I went up and was handed a new ticket with seat 8K. Thought I had died and gone to flyer heaven.

Sometimes even Silver matters! Yeah!!!

PS - Super great crew on that flight, too. And whatever those little chocolate cream cupcake thingees are - wow. And the ice cream sundaes? I know that most of you probably are used to that level of service - but for me - that was heaven!
