Why would you assume those of us who complain about DL not following the rules are just business travelers? Nobody said upgrades were a right. They are a published benefit and DL publishes the upgrade criteria. If I decide to commit to DL to fly 80K miles / year on my own dime and it becomes evident that DL does not follow their own published criteria, I have the right to question the fact that they didn't go by the rules they published.
