Hence my comment about being overly pedantic...

With that said, the C-Series (... sorry, A220) probably won't be anything like the 717. The MD-95 (717) was a side-effect of the MD aquisition, whereas Airbus specifically bought into the CS program because they believe there is sustainability there. They'll be selling the C-Series and its derivatives for some time I suspect.
