When gate-checking (which unfortunately happens a fair bit on CRJs and ERJ-145s), I have very high success with either the ground staff personally bringing the yellow-handled bags over first on the tarmac (separate from the cart), or else it's within the first 2-3 bags when delivered to the jet bridge. I'm thinking around 80% or more success.
This is a tangible benefit to me.
Yup... At a couple airports (RDU for one) in the last weeks, they pulled my bag off the conveyor and ran it over to me instead of throwing on the cart. I then got to walk with great DYKWIA-ness past all the other folks wondering why I was so special...
