Their premier suites occupy one end of each floor, with:
- large living room, with dinner table, sofa, TV, smallish desk, guest WC. Unimpeded view over featureless part of KL
- bedroom with king bed and TV, feels larger due to high ceilings (for a newer building). View over building under construction next door.
- walk in closet
- make-up corner
- large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Generic Ritz amenities
Notes:
- plumbing and A/C are quiet and effective, not always a given
- furniture in the living room is rather uninspired and tired, IMHO
- there is a connecting room next to the living room; door is not soundproof
- free Ethernet ADSL modem available upon request
- Malaysian breakfast is the most filling choice, as the western ones are minimalistic (breads, milk especially)
- not nearly enough electric outlets; the adapter under the desk accepts US-style plugs, IIRC
- lounge staff is the most polished, front desk the least
- lounge's 'five daily presentations' or such are insufficient for a snack, just as nibbles...
- butler can forget to mention complimentary butler-drawn bath, of which there is a 'menu' (with prices) next to the tub
- butler is your interface for most requests, but can be very slow. This is especially frustrating when a simple request takes half an hour
- on the other hand, a good relationship with your butler can secure a later check-out time than the front desk is willing to grant
- taxis fetched by the bellman are nicer cars, but can take a few minutes to come. I noticed no surcharge
No construction work I noticed last time around (April 2004)
