This is probably a longshot, but is it possible to interline baggage from Tiger onto Cathy Pacific? The routing would be from Jeju Island (S Korea) to Taipei on Tiger, 3 hour layover, then Cathay on to Hong Kong on a separate ticket. Sorry, I don’t have the airport codes to hand for these places (apart from HKG). I have a feeling that the bag will need to be claimed and rechecked and there should be largely enough time to do it. But there’s a few potential typhoons millling around over the ocean to the east, although they mostly seem to dissipate quickly.
