Just booked my family 3J seats + lap infant from YVR-ADL. However the point of this thread is that, after piecing together a pretty good itinerary and calling aeroplan, the reward was unbookable because Air China won't allow aeroplan to book infants using points. The two options given to me where book a 4th seat for the infant (@160k points) OR call up Air China and pay for the flight (about $1k for their portion). She said that Air China was the only airline that does this (its so rare that she even went ahead in filling in all the details of the trip and got confused why it didn't compute...)

Anyways I make this post in part as a heads up (I haven't come across this information ever before)
