Does being an aerospace engineer, being trained to do (and having deployed overseas to do) aircraft incident investigations, and having been a USAF Flight Test Engineer for the past four years give me a little bit of authority beyond "sitting in an armchair" when it comes to understanding aircraft design, operations, and incident investigation?
