One of the reasons I don't like mileage runs is because upgrading no longer makes it worth while. It increases the cost per mile by $0.05 per mile.

If you have already purchased the ticket, you can find the fare code through the American Airlines Refunds site and the fare rules from the Expedia Fare Calendar.

So I calculate Q Points (this flight would requalify me for PLT for 2005/06) as (852+852+1076+1076 +500+500) X 1.5 = 7,284. That takes the minimum 356 for the YYZ/LGA leg and multiplies by 1.5X for Q Points as it is either in J or YUP F, probably J.

Have I got this right?
Unfortunately, the calculation is slightly off. You will receive the following Q-Points each way:

534 (150% of 356) + 1,614 (150% of 1,076) + 1,278 (150% of 852) = 3,426

Two ways is 6,852.
