We spent the night at an airport hotel, went back to the airport, and got a rental car which I'm definitely going to file a trip insurance claim for. Putting Mrs. Goes up front paid off as she slept for much of the flight and is now at the wheel for an eight hour drive.
United seems determined not to let me cancel our reservations - the Cancel button in the app either does nothing or takes me to the web site where the Cancel button also does nothing.
I've had by far the longest holds I've ever seen on the premier priority line. I'm at thirty minutes & counting.
