Hello,

I have been employed with America West for almost 6 years. Since my duration of my employment with the airline, I have heard many rumors at one time or another that were going to be merged or acquired by various airlines from United, Continental, Delta, USair, Southwest, Northwest, and American. Well, America West is still here and no major airline is in the financial position to be merging or acquiring any airline right now. Until my paycheck does not say "America West" anymore. I dismiss all the rumors.

As far as Hawain airlines, America West and Hawaiin became codeshare partners after we ended our codeshare relations with Continental. Hawaiin airlines is currently is Chp. 11 and America West does not have the $$$ to buy them out. So I would disregard any rumor about that. I guess there are people out there that having nothing better to do than create rumor mill.
