I'm currently on a 5-night stay at the Athenee Palace, but I popped into the HGI lobby today out of curiosity. The Athenee Palace rooms are badly in need of renovation and power outlets/USB ports. The room posted above looks brand spanking new. The lounge at the Athenee is very good, though, and has not been crowded
The whole HGI felt brand new -- only weird thing was the water from the shower spilled out of the shower unit onto the floor (because it was flush with the rest of the bathroom tile) though that's not unique to this HGI (but baffles me when new hotels design bathrooms and don't adequately block water from running onto the floor)
