Even a change of aircraft (unscheduled or not) doesn't make it 2 segments if the flight # is the same.

It used to be that you could get credited for two segments on a "direct" HP flight by getting off the plane and getting a change of seat assignment from the gate agent. Alas, no more, they "fixed" that computer glitch a couple of years ago.
