The Maui timeshares are eligible for a points/certificate redemption but availability is almost nonexistent for a 5 or seven night stay. Do a flexible search on the Marriott site and you will see what I mean.
I’m betting that a lot of the unused 7 night certs are going to be hard to use as desired and that the secondary market for these certs is going to provide some with a diamond in the rough and others with a lump of coal.
