We are going to be in the French Riviera/Monaco for a week where we planned to not rent a car but just stay put. Then, we will move to Aix-en-Provence and tour the entire Provence area in a car rental for a week. After that week, we planned to take that car to drive over to the Spanish Pyrenees for a couple of days and possibly visit Andorra, dropping off the rental in Barcelona. Obviously, everything I see is fairly exorbitant for a one-way rental. Is there any better suggestion how to go about doing this trip? We believe we need a car for Provence and we definitely believe we need it for the Catalan Pyrenees. Our final destination is Barcelona. Any tips or advice as to how to not be charged an arm and a leg for this?
