I could and tried to get a quote. The idea was too book:
  • 06 Sep: CDG-LHR BA323 17:40-17:50
  • 06 Sep: LHR-HKG BA27 21:45-16:40+
  • 08 Sep: HKG-BNE CX157 12:50-23:25 but BA doesn't offer that option but instead BA4557 on the 07 Sep 21:30-10:05 not allowing me to have a long layover in HKG to see my brother. Don't know how to force the system to choose the CX157. Only if I fly CX from CDG, I am able to select CX157 with a 21:45 stopover.
ba.com can be limited in what it offers - doesn't mean that the longer layover isn't bookable though. Perhaps try itamatrix or google flights? If you can get it to price on there just call BA to book it.
