I know that I will likely be flamed by some here for what I will say and this is a bit OT, but anyway...I am in the opinion that only one hotel should remain called Raffles for historical reasons : the Singapore one.
The reasons are :
- there are few Raffles hotels on our small planet
- there are too many brands in Accor now ==> need for rationalization.
- Most of those Raffles hotels are not known locally for being called Raffles and they are called by their original name. For instance, in Paris, if you speak about Raffles for the Royal Monceau, no one will understand. Same in Siem Reap for the Grand Hotel d'Angkor, in Phnom Penh for le Royal, etc etc
So they should all go under Sofitel Legend

Accor might need to start a "new" brand to cater these historical hotel.
Similar to SPG Luxury Collection hotel, each hotel keep their name and logo and service style
Raffles Hotel Singapore, Member of Legendary Collections by Accor
Le Royal Monceau Paris, Member of Legendary Collections by Accor
To put Raffles Hotel Singapore in even Sofitel brand will reduce its historical value.
