Was here from August 1 - August 3 with a family of 4.

We booked a basic room and got upgraded to a suite (no view) thru our Amex Platinum / Starwoods Gold membership...I'd say room was $30 / night more than what we booked. Also received a $15 drink credit upon check-in and a free dessert each night.

The hotel / pool were great, and Legoland private entrance was nice as well, if we ever go to Carlsbad again would not hesitate to stay here
