Spent the weekend there with wife and daughter about two years ago. Nice hotel; our room was huge (I'm just a Gold). No issues with setting AC cold (we like it that way too). The room decor was fine, nothing obviously too dated or worn. Service was good. Don't recall food issues. We're going back in early October, I didn't know about the renovation issue.
