I have. Booked an Iberia flight and a BA flight. Cancelled both (25 GBP fee each, even though website says Euro), were told the Avios would be back within 48 hours. They did not show up in my account, so called after 52 hours and the agent fixed it while I was on hold. It was on Saturday. Another agent said it would only be possible during the weekdays.
Money haven't been received yet, but they told me to allow up to 4 weeks.
