Has anyone here successfully booked and canceled an IB award through IB with a new account, and received a refund of the points?
The reason I'm asking is that somebody reported that the Avios were lost because the Iberia+ account was not "active" (no activity besides the promo Avios being deposited).
To be on the safe side, I purchased Avios for one of my family's account before canceling an award, and the points were refunded.
But now I'd like to cancel to other awards (since it's not possible to change the routing of a booking, you need to cancel and book again), and I'm not to keen on purchasing more Avios...
