regarding immigration and baggage claiming, YMMV really. Many factors come to play, and depends how busy it is. And one couldn't really predict. I've flown in November where it's very busy, and other times when it is not.
SQ and GA are interline partners as far as I am aware, and thus you could always try to ask nicely at SQ check-in to have your luggage tagged all the way to JOG, though this isn't a formal benefit, and it is done wholly under the discretion of the agent.
