Seriously -- and following up on Spiff's comment -- if anybody told me that I couldn't use a camera, I would politely ask them where they got the idea that they had such authority. Personal electronic devices are restricted during certain phases of flight, but while on the ground or high in the air, I'll pretty much do what I please with my own property. I wish that people were not so deferential to authority figures. Challenge them once in a while and see what happens! Unless they are quite sure of the correctness of their positon, they usually back down. Just never never never lose your cool. Then they've got you!
