The legacy SPG program would not have counted a CC year. MR had no such rule nor is there anything to indicate the new program will. Marriott has made no announcement that previously counted Marriott years will no longer count and is using language which would indicate the old SPG rule will be followed. At worst, SPG cc years will now count, but there is nothing to indicate Marriott cc years will not.

SPG called them Eligible Status Years, a term not used for the new program. The materials for the new program looks at years achieved instead and has not carve out for cc years, which have always counted for Marriott.
