If the tickets are booked via a Travel Agency, I would request them to add BSCT SSR (Special Service Request). If SSR is confirmed, this should trigger a respective seat assignment (most likely for only 1 person).

If you booked via a web site, you are at the mercy of fairly incompetent agents...
