Virtuoso booking?

Hello all,

I stayed in the PH a couple of years ago, and loved it so much that I’m planning to go back next year in late September/October for Momiji (red leaves of autumn).

I’m looking for for a little advice on the best way to book. I’m trying to balance not having a crazy big budget with getting the most from our stay. In an ideal world, I’d rather spend as little as possible on the room, and use the saving to use the spa (I love Japanese baths) and enjoy breakfast a couple of times during a 5-7 day stay. A night in the American grill and bar is always great fun.

1. Virtuoso seem to offer free breakfast (I assume this is in the grill restaurant or room service? - either is superb), along with $100 f&b credit and a potential upgrade. Any experience on how likely an upgrade is at this time of year? Would we need to book a deluxe room when going through virtuoso, rather than a cheaper park room?

2. I have about 50k of Hyatt points. Not enough for more than a night’s stay, but I could use the 6000pt suite upgrade from a deluxe room. Is there any real chance of availability? Can we use this along with virtuoso benefits.

3. Last time we went, we used a 5 nights for the price of 4 with Mr&Mrs smith. They don’t seem to do this any more, but are there any other good options? I’ve seen founders card mentioned.

Finally, there is a small chance we will be traveling with an infant, life depending... if this is the case, any views on how well suited the hotel is and anywhere others would recommend?

Thanks a millions,
