If you look back 5 years ago you can get bulkhead on TK long haul 100 days before departure, they will give it based on first come first served basis - regardless if you have a baby or not. Then they stopped that and held those seats for infants and then release them at check-in counters. For all the time I flew long haul I have seen babies in almost all the flights (can't remember not seeing at least one really). It's not fun to sit with a screaming baby for 12 hours.
TK/UA puts bassinet seats right behind business class which is really not nice to those high paying pax.
