OTOH, those of us that have wanted to book bulkhead seats in the past were often unable to do so because they were held until the day of the flight just in case someone with a baby who might need a bassinet needed them, which was something very customer unfriendly for top tier passengers (or TK pilots flying non revenue). Generally they carry enough bassinets for the bassinet positions on their aircraft, so unless something goes very wrong, if they buy the seat, they will get the bassinet, so that should not be a worry. You are talking about a 739, with I believe has only 4 bassinet positions (two in J, 2 in Y), so its not like there are 10 or 12 bassinet positions as there might be on certain long haul aircraft. Unfortunatelely TK is not the only airline that now charges for such bulkhead seats. My problem IS that they are seemingly one of the very few trunk carriers that hits their top tier elites for such assignments, and then has the temerity to not even allow them to be done within 24 hours of the flight, meaning that while you might be paying $400 for your flight months in advance, and may never fly TK again, A top tier elite who flies Tk weekly and is paying $2k for his last minute Y ticket the day before has no opportunity to book such seats, even if he wants to pay and they are available and has to gamble that one might be free at the airport - at which point they might be grabbed by a nonrev!
