I’d have to disagree with the above, I find AA significantly better than BA when things go pear shaped.
In in my experience AA tend to focus on fixing the problem whereas BA tend to do the absolute minimum they are legally obliged to do and will even try to side step that if at all possible (eg EU261). That’s based on being GGL with BA and zero status with AA.
