Hello all

This may be a silly question.... but I booked a ticket from BOS-LAX-RNO with a four hour and two minute layover in LAX. I plan to have checked bags, and since this layover is greater than the maximum domestic connection time of 4 hours, will I be required to claim my bags at LAX or will they be checked through to Reno? I would prefer not to have to claim them in LAX.

I would have prefered to have a tighter connection in LAX, however UA only has one flight a day between LAX and RNO!

then my second question is: how likely is it that my bags will get lost during the 4 hour 2 minute layover between flights? Does UA have a good track record of making sure that bags are transfered to the next flight when there is such a long layover?
