I applied for the CIC on 7/30 and am now getting the 2-week by mail notice when I call the automated status line. I've read that this is often a good indicator of ultimate approval, but I'm also interested in the likely timeline. I have a large bill due on 8/6 which I want to pay with the new card, if approved. Based on other people's experience is it possible the card will be approved by then?
