My daughter & family were on AA4012, BOI-ORD today. Flt. departed 21 minutes late (mechanical issue) and encountered rough weather near ORD that also caused an additional 5 to 10 min. delay. They missed the connecting flt, AA3924, to GSO.

AA rebooked them on a flt leaving tomorrow but would give no hotel or food vouchers because they claimed the delay was "weather". AA4012 was supposed to dep. BOI at 1:14 but didn't dep. until 1:36 according to flightaware.com. Flt landed at 6pm, abt 15-17 late. Should she have been offered a room & food voucher?
