So business has been booming this year and I've already flown approximately the same miles I flew all of last year. I've been a Premier Silver member for four years now, but based on confirmed travel I'm looking at hitting 42,620 PQM by the end of the fourth quarter. I have no idea how business travel will unfold for the remainder of the year, but was wondering if it would be worthwhile to take a few personal trips to achieve Gold status. With that said, can someone suggest the best/cheapest way of obtaining the extra 8,000 PQM to hit Gold? What kind of trips am I looking at (based out of ORD)? Although the logical follow-up question would be, is Gold status worth paying out of your own pocket to reach it?
