Agreed, the embassy may be of the same view when its comes to loaning a ticket change, a lot of competition on gofundme in Asia region with the backpackers ending up in the doghouse due to not having insurance or not having correct insurance.
Fire sell your laptop, computer, phone, anything of value first before pleading with the embassy
