According to your link, Creole Spirit, Thai says that they will cancel premium because they have "a high demand on our Business Class," i.e. they need all 42 seats for business class passengers. If they would simultaneously switch to a 359 with only 32 business seats, it would sort of defeat the purpose of the premium cancellation.
