I got an apparently targeted mailing saying "Book online, earn 500 Hhonors bonus points" between July 15 and September 15. I have two award stays booked during that time and I'm wondering, if I check on Thursday 7/15 and find these still available as award stays, could I make new reservations and cancel the old to get the bonus? The T & C say "The online reservations bonus points offer is for the the recipient of this mailing only and is non-transferable, and applies to reservations made between July 15 and September 15, 2004 on the [HH brands] websites for stays that take place during the same dates. The online reservations bonus cannot be earned in addition to any other Hhonors points or miles online reservation bonus. [Everything Hhonors is] subject to Hhonors Terms and Conditions." I don't see anything specifically excluding award stays, unless there's something in the general HH T & C. I know that one can get stay and incidental credit on award stays, so it shouldn't be an obvious negative.
