I recently offered up my 1C seat for both legs of one itinerary to an aisle-chair loaded woman who they were having difficulty transporting to the back (she had the same connection as me). On both flights, the FAs were over-the-top gracious and grateful about it -- I still got all the benefits of First, including drinks before anyone in First. I think the FA you encountered needs some re-training. How is it that some get it so right and others get it so wrong?
