Beyond the neatness of the cubes what other advantage do they offer? For dirty clothes I just re-use a couple hotel plastic laundry bags and fold/roll the dirty stuff works fine and free too.
Cubes are great when you're on a multi-city trip and can just put them in a hotel drawer or on shelves. Everything stays really organized, is easy to locate, and is "protected" from shelves and drawers that might not be so clean.
They're also great for toiletries, keeping small containers corralled. I put everything away in cubes when I leave a hotel in the AM, that way the maids don't handle my makeup, etc.
